Our Team

We are extremely proud of our dedicated team. We hire only the best and most experienced employees to become a part of our team here at Valley Veterinary Clinic. Our team is filled with highly dedicated animal lovers who are well trained at their jobs. They will do anything possible for their patients and the owners who love them.

Learning and education are very important here at Valley Veterinary Clinic. We strive to have a state of the art hospital with a staff trained in the latest medical advances. Our patients deserve the very best veterinary care.

Basically, our team is full of animal lovers. They make it a goal to treat each patient like their own. They give each patient plenty of love and attention. They are prepared to discuss preventative medicine so that every pet can stay as healthy as possible. They will also do everything that they can to make a sick pet feel better as soon as possible.

Dr. Michael Klingler

Our founder and managing veterinarian on staff, Dr. Klingler graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1971. He has been extremely active over his career in all fields of small animal medicine and surgery. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, and the Greater St. Louis Veterinary Medical Association. He is the past president of the American Association of Feline Practitioners,and also past president of the Midwest Small Animal Hospital Association . He is currently an affiliate member of the American Animal Hospital Association.

Darlene Powell

Darlene worked as a pet groomer and veterinary assistant in the High Ridge area for several years before joining our staff in 2005. She assists with routines exams and surgical cases as well as managing the front office.

Cynda Cottrill

Cynda is the newest member of the Valley Veterinary Clinic staff. She joined our in August of 2017. She is our receptionist and assists Darlene with front office duties. Cynda has lived in Missouri since August of 2017.

Melissa K. Klingler

Melissa attends the University of Missouri and is taking pre-vet courses. She assists with pet treatments and front office work after school hours and on Fridays and Saturdays.

Jessica L. Klingler

Jessica also attends the University of Missouri, studying with an emphasis on education. She fills in for all staff members on an as needed basis.

Julie Busch

Julie joined the Valley Veterinary Clinic staff in August of 2016. She has been grooming in the St Louis area for over 15 years.
